Burning Phoenix Studio is owned and operated by Dennis Gladwell. Established in May 2019, the studio was built on decades of experience and a commitment to quality. Dennis has been tattooing clients throughout Westchester County and beyond since 1993 and has worked at this location since 1998. That dedication to craftsmanship, professionalism, and long-term client relationships is the foundation of Burning Phoenix Studio and shared by every member of our team.

We are committed to bringing top-quality tattoo artists to the Westchester community and beyond. Working in a clean, private environment, we focus on both safety and exceptional artwork. Our artists work across all tattoo styles, including color, black and gray, realism, traditional, Japanese, watercolor, and lettering.
BODY PIERCING
With decades of experience, our body piercing services are performed with precision and care in a private, sterile piercing room. We prioritize comfort, proper placement, and cleanliness, and offer a wide selection of high-quality body jewelry to complement your new piercing.
LASER SKIN TREATMENTS
Our laser tattoo removal services are performed by certified laser technicians using advanced Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser technology. This allows us to safely and effectively lighten or remove unwanted tattoos while prioritizing precision, comfort, and professional care.
CUSTOM TATTOOING
We work in a wide range of tattoo styles, including color, black and gray, realism, traditional, Japanese, watercolor, and lettering. Bring in your ideas or reference material and our artists will create a custom design that fits your vision. Many tattoos can be drawn the same day, while larger custom designs may require additional time and a deposit.
BODY PIERCING
Body piercings are available on a walk-in basis with no appointment required. The process is quick, all piercings are performed using sterile, single-use needles, and we never use piercing guns. Each piercing includes hypoallergenic stainless steel jewelry. Feel free to call or stop in with any questions or ideas.
LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
Laser tattoo removal is a safe and effective option for fading or removing unwanted tattoos, or preparing an existing tattoo for modification or cover-up. Our certified laser operators use advanced laser technology to target a wide range of ink colors, allowing us to treat professional, amateur, cosmetic, medical, and traumatic tattoos.

DENNIS GLADWELL
MASTER TATTOO ARTIST – CERTIFIED LASER TECHNICIAN
Four years of private training in Fine Arts throughout high school helped Dennis get accepted into Pratt Institute In New York. After earning an Associate’s Degree in Illustration, Dennis started tattooing in July 1993. Dennis learned to tattoo on his own before landing a job at a well known shop in the Bronx in 1996. He returned to Westchester In 1998 to start working at the location with would become Burning Phoenix Studios. Throughout his career he has won numerous awards for art design, tattoos, and appeared in many industry magazines. Dennis has also manufactured tattoo equipment and instructional videos for the next generation of tattoo artists.
SCOTT THOMPSON
MASTER BODY PIERCER
Scott began piercing at the shop in 1998 before relocating to Cape Coral, Florida around 2001. There, he worked with some of the area’s top studios until we decided to open our own shop, New York Tattoo Company, in 2009. Scott ran and pierced at that location for over a decade before it eventually closed. He returned to Burning Phoenix Studio in January 2026, bringing with him decades of experience in the industry.
MIKE WINGATE
MASTER TATTOO ARTIST
Mike has been at this loction since 2000. He began by teaching himself how to tattoo in 1994. Over the next few years he honed his skill set and knowlegde of the industry before going to work for a shop in Dobbs Ferry, NY. A natural artist, Mike is extememly talented in all styles of tattooing.
HANK MEYERSON
MASTER TATTOO ARTIST
Hank Meyerson has been tattooing for well over two decades. He is and experienced artist and a knowledgeable background in the medical field. He can produce all styles of tattoos, but enjoys in American Traditional.

MASTER TATTOO ARTIST
V is the newest member of our team and apprenticed under Hank Meyerson. An experienced artist, his skill and confidence with the tattoo machine are well beyond his years.
